OP Art Project:
CORE INFORMATION
TITLE: OP Art COURSE: Design ARTIST: Alyssa Stults TEACHER: Mrs. McDonald SUBJECT MATTER: Optical Illusion MEDIUM: Marker PROJECT GOAL: My project goal was to create an illusion that used shapes and a designs which made it seem as if it were popping out of the paper and coming towards you. PERSONAL REVIEW I liked this project. It was pretty fun. I loved all the different options I had to make my project my own. I didn't like they coloring part of this project, especially the very small parts. Coloring all this took a long time and it was pretty tedious. Some of my strengths in this project were the ability to draw straight lines, and using my class time wisely. Some things I disliked about this project was it was pretty complicated to finish everything in class. I didn't like having to take my project home. During this optical illusion project, I learned how to use lines and shapes to create an illusion when Mrs. McDonald showed us examples and had me do some simple examples. I wouldn't change anything about my project. I am happy with the way it turned out. There were some challenges I faced while working on it, but seeing the end result was worth the struggles. DESCRIPTIVE WRITING REFLECTION Elements I used vertical and geometric lines in my project. I had triangles, a geometric shape, in my project. My optical illusion had a lot of positive space in it. In my project, I tried to use a mix of warm and cool colors to really make my illusion stick out. I tried to put a warm and a cool color beside each other. Principles The balance in my project is symmetrical. Both my 1 point perspectives meet in the middle. The lines I drew in the background of my 1 point perspective really made the main part of my optical illusion the main focus. |
